A change in format and update to the original, here is a brief write up.
A lot of the changes were using softer brushes to round out and soften appropriate forms, like behind her right arm, her back muscles, forearm and form shadows (not cast shadows v important), added plane changes like on the top of the wing as it transitions away from the light, and on the other wing one person mentioned they though it was a "thumb" so I made that overlap more clear showing the wing extend into the foreground and fleshed it out a bit. Also added the amulet to the bird and put the same gem into the hilt of the sword to bring the storytelling into it and link the two characters visually. Also hardened edges where objects end finally where her torso just kind of ended in unfinished brush strokes I turned that into smoke coalescing emphasize her being in the underworld and a sort of spirit crossing planes. Added miscellaneous details like the engravings/inlays on the sword and glowing wing tips in the light... oh and the color traveling up her back outlining the form and enhancing the color swirl around the composition.
